Keep Your Fitness Goals in the New Year, 2012
It’s the New Year and for those people looking forward and thinking about the positive changes that they plan to make to their life fitness, health and well-being are high on those lists. Every year millions of people mentally write long lists of how they will become a better person, but many fail, for the simple reason that they are long mental lists. There is no physical record and therefore it is easy to forget, whether that be on purpose, or by accident. The best way forward for your New Year’s Resolutions is to write them down. There may be some you want to keep personal, but it is best to share as many as possible, because this way it will actively encourage other people to ask about your progress, this often leads to greater determination, sometimes because you want to prove doubters wrong, but also because close friends will support you in your ‘new life.’
Setting realistic fitness goals is crucial. What many people find is that they sign up to a gym, on a three month trial with the intention of going three nights a week and once at weekends. These people soon find that work takes over their life again. The dark nights remain, so they don’t want to leave the house, the dark, cold mornings mean they don’t want to get out of bed. So by March they are in the same position, except they have wasted a few hundred pounds. Training at the gym does not need to be a timely excursion. Short sharp bursts of exercise can do your body the world of good. Indeed, accelerated training vibrating plates allow the user to tone muscle groups quickly, each exercise can be performed in 10-15 minute rotations, therefore less than 1 hour’s exercise can produce noticeable results. Over-exerting your body and forcing yourself to do more exercise than your body is accustomed to can have adverse affects.
The best advice is to keep your training regime simple to start with and develop it as you become more comfortable. Vibrating plates allow you to scale up your exercise regime because you can perform a number of exercises on the same machine. By doing this you should be able to stick to at least one of your New Year Resolutions, but please ensure you speak to a professional trainer before starting any new training regime, or using new vibration machines.
